Every experience is propositional ... whether the experience is of sensation, reaction, percept, concept, thought, reasoning, memorising, recall, meaning, interpretation, observation, abstraction, action, imagination or flight of fancy ... and whether fleeting or enduring, clear or unclear, believed or not believed, shared or unshared ... and whether or not couched in signs or symbols: Every experience is propositional.
Propositions feed on a great number of qualities, including observation, curiosity, boldness, knowledge, memory, association, interest, freedom, openness, positivity, confidence, faith, explication, implication, prehension, valence, imagination, meditation, concentration, comparison, research, analysis, abstraction, creativity, inspiration, intuition, persistence, determination, flexibility and serendipity.
Although the propositional network approach to truth is primarily concerned with phenomena, it leads us to the noumenal truth ... that is, it leads us from the expressions of truth to truth itself.
The propositional network approach constitutes both a science and a philosophy. It is a science in that it is a factually based account of existence, and it is a philosophy in that it provides an overview of existence and an attitudinal stance to life and living.
A key aspect of the attitudinal stance is respect. The Absolute, being all, is to be respected. As the Absolute is wholly in each person and each thing, it follows that each person and each thing is to be respected. Also, as the truth is multi-paradigmatic and as each person has a unique view of the truth, each view of truth is to be respected.
The attitude of respect includes respect for our adversaries, but not for avoidance of confrontation or for meek submission. Conflict is essential to life and each of us is an absolute sovereign being. We are not called upon to kowtow to anyone, but we are called upon to show respect.
It is not respectful to denigrate thinkers and to arrogantly dismiss them as being of little account. In the development of this network, an effort has been made to bring each thinker into play, across the most diverse spectra of views which may be accommodated. It is noted that, when such due respect is shown, each thinker opens its channel and its direct and indirect sources, in fullest cooperation. This is not surprising for, after all, we have a common object, namely to reveal and know the truth. Each thinker willingly joins the project, not only via written manuscripts but, more importantly, by lending personal assistance.
The community and fellowship of thinkers is a transfinite one. It is quite wonderful ... like a university of the mind, where all are free to come and go ... and to soundlessly contribute, as and when they feel inclined.
While a majority believe that respect must be earned before it is granted, recognition of the immanence of the perfect Absolute implies and inspires universal respect for all persons and all things at all times. When one knows the Absolute to be in every person, one respects every person ... and this respect continues, whatever actions and outcomes ensue. Respectful person-to-person salutations are made to the indwelling Absolute.
Knowledge, that each person is an Absolute sovereign being, shapes one's attitudes enormously. When one knows that the individual is all-important, and that the Absolute is wholly present in every thought and action, each living second becomes supremely important and full of meaning and portent. The attitudinal implications of the propositional philosophy are profound.
Reconciliation of our transfinite oneness, with our individual sovereignty, is not confusing in the higher reaches of understanding: It does, however, become confusing in the existential sphere of life-struggle, and in the intellectual sphere of finite logic. The understanding of existence calls for both finite and transfinite thinking. Also, an open-minded receptivity enables the various truth paradigms to gradually 'seep' and 'osmose' into our understanding.
This network may enhance the development of each reader's awareness ... and, of course, each reader's development will be uniquely individual. The network may be likened to a Rorschach blot which transmutes awareness to transfinity ... and, in so doing, its processes are catalytic, evocative and heuristic.
The network has a connective function. Science specialties tend to become islands of esoteric knowledge and terminology. The propositional network method collects and connects specialty findings and uses them to fertilise, invigorate and extend the whole network.
Networks are essentially mental organisms. As the human race has grown, so do networks grow. As the race has created its environment, so networks create their environments. As the race selects its truths, so networks select their truths. Propositional networks are mental extensions of the human race.
Each propositional network which is created becomes, in effect, a mental universe in its own right. In other words, the present phase of metamorphosis is characterised by the creation of a diaspora of mental universes. This addresses the important point that a propositional network may be predictive or creative or both.
A solely predictive network concerns itself only with prediction of the future. It is not concerned with creating new universes ... and is only concerned with what is going to happen to this one. A solely creative network is concerned with creating a new universe and does not attempt to project the future of the present one. This particular propositional network of ours is both predictive and creative, for it sees the new universes emerging from the old and participates in their development. Its predictive and creative functions are integrally one.
We are transfinite beings, and our genetic coding is transfinite. All our perceptions and thoughts are genetically encoded. It is we who see clearly and think clearly, and we who abstract all this from singularity. It is our genetic encoding which enables us to see as we see and to think as we think.
Power is controlled energy. There can be no control without cohesion and there can be no cohesion without will. Power, cohesion, control and will are all mutually implicative. It is will which enables us to cohere percepts, via encoding/decoding, into clear vision.
As entropy increase6, in time-space finity, negentropy increases in the transfinity of the mental/spiritual. The 1998 cross-over sees the mental/spiritual negentropy exceeding the declining physical/social negentropy (cohesion).
All knowledge is survival knowledge, and networks help us to survive in the mental/spiritual sphere. We continue as the same species ... but transmuted and metamorphosed as mental/spiritual beings.
We, the organic evolution, are all that there is. Our evolution includes its members and its environment, and there are no exclusions: We are the universe and we are all that is and all that is conceivable. We change the nature and emphasis of our being ... but we don't start and we don't end: We are eternal, transfinite beings.
Cohesion is of the monad and in the monad's ability to think and visualise and create. The cohesion which the monad imparts to its creations is temporary and may be withdrawn. The monad's creations come and go, but the monad endures: It is an Absolute, sovereign, transfinite being.
And, now, monads gain greater freedom ... to move from form to form ... and even to dwell in many forms ... for they are becoming liberated, and they may now dwell as and where they please, and express as and how they please.
As the diaspora expresses all possible viewpoints, so any propositional network (which seeks the truth) needs to express all possible viewpoints. But, no matter how much a network originator tries to achieve this goal, he/she may to some degree fail ... for only the Absolute is able to comprehend all viewpoints.
It may be well argued that the Absolute is wholly in each being and wholly in each network originator ... and that the Absolute, being Absolute, may achieve any thing whatsoever ... so it may be possible for the future to be perfectly predicted via network originators or via any other agencies.
As the Absolute may impose imperatives upon itself, we cannot assume that any particular course must be followed by the Absolute or that any particular thing must be possible, except in so far as the Absolute may will it to be SO.
As all ideas come from the same genetic pool and from the same genetic coding system, any comprehensive and relatively unbiased propositional network may enable high-probability predictions to be made.
Man has devised the concept of 'accidental', which permits the abstraction of simple laws. The 'accidental' complications of existence are referred to as the initial conditions ... and the domain of perceived regularities is referred to as the laws of nature.
Since we never find a distribution of meter readings, but always a single reading, and since quantum mechanics seems to predict only probability distributions, human consciousness must somehow induce the probability distribution to collapse. But two languages are involved here, and the collapse occurs at the point where we confuse one language with the other.
Non-equilibrium thermodynamics divides into the linear and non-linear versions. Linearity refers to any behaviour which can be charted on a graph as a straight line, based on a directly proportional relationship between two quantities.
